★ LEGAL
TERMS OF
SERVICE.
Last updated · 19 July 2026
These terms are a contract between you and DanceHow ("we", "us"). By using dancehow.com ("the site") you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What DanceHow is
DanceHow is a directory and discovery tool that helps people find dance classes, schedules, prices and teachers. We do not run classes ourselves. Studios, instructors and class details listed on the site are operated by independent third parties. We aggregate publicly-available information and information submitted by studios and visitors.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the site. By creating an account or submitting a lead, you confirm you are old enough to do so under the law of your country. Some features (such as payment) require you to be at least 18.
Your account
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything done from your account. Tell us straight away if you suspect unauthorised access.
Acceptable use
You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Scrape, copy or republish content from the site at scale without our written permission.
- Submit false, misleading or abusive information through any form on the site.
- Attempt to break, probe, or interfere with the site or its security.
- Use the site to harass studios, instructors, or other users.
- Use the site in any way that breaks applicable law.
Studio and class listings
We try to keep listings accurate, but class times, prices, locations and availability change frequently. Always confirm details with the studio directly before relying on them. We make no warranty about the accuracy, completeness or quality of any listing, and we are not liable for the conduct of studios, instructors or other third parties.
If you are a studio owner and want to correct or remove a listing, use the claim flow on your studio page or write to hello@dancehow.com.
Lead submissions
When you submit a lead, you authorise us to share your enquiry — including your name, contact details and message — with the studios you have asked us to contact, so they can respond. How those studios use the information is governed by their own privacy practices, not ours.
Payments and refunds
If you purchase a product or feature on the site, payment is processed by Stripe under their terms. Unless stated otherwise on the checkout page:
- Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes where required.
- Digital purchases are non-refundable once delivered, except where required by consumer law.
- Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel from your account. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not refund past billing periods.
For refund requests, write to billing@dancehow.com within 14 days of purchase.
Intellectual property
The site, its design, copy and code are owned by DanceHow or its licensors. You may not copy, modify or distribute them without permission. Where you submit content (a review, a studio claim, a message), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and use that content as part of operating the site.
Disclaimers
The site is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that listings are accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, DanceHow is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim related to the site is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) £50.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify DanceHow against any claim, loss or expense arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.
Termination
We may suspend or close your account, and remove content, if you breach these terms or use the site in a way that risks harm to us or others. You may close your account at any time by writing to us.
Changes to the service or terms
We may change the site, add or remove features, and update these terms. If we make a material change to the terms, we will note it on this page and, where appropriate, notify account holders. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers may have additional rights to bring proceedings in their home jurisdiction.
