§ HOW THIS IS CALCULATED

  • New members/mo = leads × conversion rate
  • Monthly revenue = new members × classes/mo × class price
  • Annual revenue = monthly × 12
  • Net monthly = monthly revenue − tier price
  • Member LTV = classes/mo × class price × retention months

No multi-month compounding — we deliberately understate the upside so the number you see is one you can defend to a co-owner or accountant.

§ COMMON QUESTIONS

FAIR CHALLENGES.

Where do the tier lead estimates come from?

From the median monthly delivered leads across studios on each tier in the past quarter. New cities and niche styles will run lower until volume builds; busy categories (beginner salsa, kids ballet) often run higher. Plug in your own number if you want to stress-test.

My conversion rate is lower than 30%. Is this still worth it?

Drop the conversion field to 15% and look at the Free tier — the listing is free, so any non-zero number is upside. Featured / Pro are designed to justify their price at conversion rates as low as 10–15% when retention is decent.

Why no contracts or term commitment?

Featured and Pro are month-to-month. The calculator's payback figure is in months for that reason — if a tier doesn't pay for itself in the first 30 days, you can downgrade with one click.

What if I already rank on Google?

Most studios that rank for their own name still miss the high-intent "[style] classes [city]" and "[style] near me" searches. Those are the queries DanceHow's city × style pages target — incremental traffic, not cannibal.
