Studio pricing — common questions

Is the free claim really free? +

Yes — claiming a studio listing costs nothing and never expires. Submit the claim form on your studio's page; we review every claim by hand and email you within two business days. After that, email us any corrections (name, address, contact details, trial offer) and we update your listing. We make money from Plus and Featured, not from claims.

Is my studio already listed? +

Probably. Every studio we know about is listed in our city, style and city×style directories whether it's claimed or not, and its class schedule is pulled automatically from its own website. A nightly job re-checks any studio we haven't refreshed in the last seven days. That's free for everyone — you don't need a paid tier to be listed or to have an up-to-date schedule.

Can I log in and edit my listing myself? +

Not yet. There's no owner login — once your claim is approved, you email us the changes and we make them. We'd rather tell you that than promise a self-serve account we haven't built.

How will I know DanceHow is sending me people? +

Every link from DanceHow to your website carries utm_source=dancehow and utm_medium=referral, so our visitors show up in your own Google Analytics (or whatever you use) on every tier. Plus and Featured studios also get a monthly click report by email: how many clicks we sent to your site, and from which pages.

What does Featured placement actually mean? +

Featured studios are shown first on their city×style pages, at the top of class listings and the schedule grid, and marked as Featured in class-matcher results. Links to Featured studios are labelled as sponsored. We only take a limited number of Featured studios per city and style so the slot stays meaningful. Claiming or Plus doesn't change the order studios are listed in — only Featured does.

Can I cancel Plus at any time? +

Yes. Plus is month-to-month with no commitment — email us to cancel and your listing reverts to the Free tier at the end of the billing period. Annual plans get two months free in exchange for a 12-month commitment. Featured is an annual contract because the slot is limited.

What if no one searches for studios in my area yet? +

Then don't pay us yet. Your free listing still shows up in our directories and matcher results, and the UTM tags will tell you in your own analytics whether we're sending anyone. If that number is small, Plus is a waste of your money — we'll tell you that before you sign up.

Do you take a cut of class bookings? +

No. We don't sit between you and your students — there's no commission, no booking fee, no markup. Paid tiers are a flat subscription, and your trial-offer link goes straight to your own booking system.

Can I try DanceHow before paying? +

Yes — start with the free claim. There's no card involved; check the referral traffic in your own analytics before you decide whether a paid tier is worth it.
